He would like to restrict our license by machine name on bentley Select Server administrator site but for some reason it wont work.
User is having 2 different site id's. One is on Hosted and another one is on Deployed.
User getting an "Error 1068: Windows could not start the Bentley SELECTserver service on local Computer. The dependency service or group failed to start" while attempting to start the SELECTserver services. When we click on the Manage Service we get a message "Access Denied: ASP.NET user does not have sufficient permission to start and stop the services".
User reports what after installing the SELECTserver Gateway. The service fails to start and gets a 1053 error.

User is getting following error when he is trying to access
the SELECTServer from START->Bentley->SELECTServer Administrative site.
“Error- Site Off-line” My SQL Error was: Unknown host access
Denied”
When we check in IIS the Website was stopped and when we try to start the Website we get the following error:

When the user tried to run WaterGEMS it stated that the
license server could not be contacted.
The SelectServer is local on the same machine.
When he looks at the SelectServer Admin page he gets an
error usage logs were last transmitted
on 09-06-2013. He manually did it this
morning, he got a response file and he uploaded the response file. Running SS 09.00.00.113. When he attempts to
look at the license file it is greyed out. The only thing he has access to it

I am attempting to install and license maxsurf. I am a "quasi" administrator and i'm having difficulty setting up the server and client.
here are the steps i have performed:
#1 I downloaded and installed the product on the client computer (an image that i will be installing on multiple computers in a lab)
#2 I downloaded and installed the ieg license service installer on the server
#3 although I can see that the ieg license service program has been installed , it does not show up as a service.
#4 also, i cannot find any trace of files on the server even though it shows up under add/remove programs
#5 i then installed the product on the server and attempted to run the license tool but i receive an error that the file "nolicensetool.exe" cannot be located
#6 from your support site, i requested a new activation key (the server name changed since we originally purchased the software)
#7 The email i received gives instructions for forcing a select server update, but i cannot find nor run the xm client tool or any of the other steps to follow this is a new installation of the program so it is not an upgrade to anything we had before on both the server and client. two years ago we were using an older version of maxsurf that used a dongle. both server and client computers are new.
#8 I would also like to verify that i can copy my image computer to my lab computers without problems.

I am unable to send usage logs, internet times out.
Most computers at my company running microstation are issue. Microstation always alert warning close every 2 minutes and
when i go to License managment tool, I saw the status of Microstation is Disable even i tried to activated it and always persist with disable of status.
Please help me, what happend.
P.S: some machines the status are actives, but some machines, the status are disable, please help me.

We currently have select server V8 XM Version 8.9.48 and want to upgrade to the latest version to gain the ability to have better usage reporting.
What is the upgrade path on this? Do the logs of the current get updated and transferred to the new version? I want to look at the logs we currently have and do not want to lose them.

Bentley Powercivil for Middle East v8i_ss3 08.11.09.495 doesn’t seem to behave like all the other bentley apps. It does not activate when we use the same standard method we use for all other apps. We had to make unique instructions to use the activation wizard for this one application, but it still doesn’t look like it’s activated.
Can you please give me info on why this is app different & how? I would also like specific instructions on how we need to activate this from our application manager (so that each user doesn't have to activate it manually themselves, which we do not want), and anything else i need to know to deliver and register/activate this applcation from our application manager?
How does one delete a custom saved report in a Bentley Hosted License Server? I created a custom "Machines by Application" report to temporarily look at computers needing upgrades. I will only need this for a couple of weeks and will want to delete the report eventually. I cannot figure out how to delete the report or see where it is saved at. Any ideas?

I need support regarding Bentley software, our security
team have concerns regarding IIS service running on Bentley server so:
1. Is IIS required or could be removed?
2. If it is required can we change the bindings to
https and install certificate only and remove http and how to do that
SELECTServer’susage logs have not been transmitted in the timeframe required. All client applications license request will fail until the usage logs have been transmitted. There are 0 log entries to be sent
The Response File corresponding to the following logs is not processed. Please Process it. If you do not have the response file, download the corresponding logs and then send them to Bentley to get the response file
